Warehouse & fulfilment

Picked, packed, out the door.

Allocation, picks, packs and despatches — from your own floor or your 3PL, for a wholesale order and a web order the same way. Stock counts that agree with the ledger because they are the ledger, and inbound containers already spoken for before they land.

Where it sits

One chain, this link.

Every flow in Weavwork is a view of the same connected record — so nothing here is a module bolted on beside the others.

Fulfilment is the warehouse record: what the shipment landed, what the orders take back out of it, and what the count says is actually on the shelf. It is also the inventory value on your balance sheet — a despatch drops stock and releases the invoice in one movement, and a count corrects the number instead of arguing with it.

How it runs

Step by step, on one record.

  1. 01
    Allocate before it lands

Stock on the water is allocated to the orders waiting on it, so the moment a container is receipted the picks are already assigned. Nobody re-decides who gets what on the day.

  2. 02
    Pick against the record

The pick comes off the order, not out of a spreadsheet — variant, quantity, location and the customer’s own packing rules. A scan or an RFID read confirms it as it goes into the carton.

  3. 03
    Pack to the carton

Cartons are built and labelled as they are packed, so the packing list, the carton labels and the consignment all say the same thing before the truck is called.

  4. 04
    Despatch and reconcile

Despatch closes the order, releases the invoice and drops the stock in one movement. Cycle counts reconcile against that same record, with the variance broken out by SKU instead of by guess.

A week with it

What it looks like on a Wednesday.

Three days from one week, on the sample data that runs through this site.

Monday
The container is spoken for
5,400 pieces land on SH-0492 and every order waiting on them is already allocated. The 3PL has had the inbound for a fortnight, so receipt is a scan rather than a data-entry morning.
Wednesday
Picks that check themselves
Northline’s 1,240 pieces pick and pack against the order. A 2XL in a carton the slip says is M is flagged before it is sealed, not after it is delivered.
Friday
A count, not an argument
A cycle count on the polo bay reconciles in twenty minutes. The variance is four units on one code, with every movement behind it on the record.
What it removes

The jobs that stop existing.

The count that never agrees
Stock is not a spreadsheet kept beside the system — it is the system. A count reconciles to the ledger and the variance lands on named codes.
Double-handling at the 3PL
Confirmed orders push to the warehouse; despatches and counts flow straight back. Nobody keys a picking list twice.
The short pack nobody catches
What was despatched is checked against what was picked and what the order said, so a short pack is a flag at the door rather than a credit note in three weeks.
Who works in it

The same record, three seats.

Warehouse
Picks, packs and despatches off the record, with locations, carton labels and counts in one place instead of four.
Sales
What is allocated, what is free and what is landing — so a date given to a customer is one the floor can hold.
Finance
Stock that reconciles to the ledger, and a despatch that releases the invoice the same moment it drops the stock.
Questions

The ones we get asked.

Do we need a 3PL to use it?

No. Run your own floor, a 3PL, or both at once. The picks, packs and counts work the same way and the record does not care whose shelf it is.

Which 3PLs do you connect to?

We run a live connector today and add warehouses on request. Tell us who you use and we will tell you what the integration looks like.

Does it handle wholesale and e-commerce together?

Yes. A wholesale order and a Shopify order push to the same warehouse the same way, off the same stock, with the same codes.

Can we pick without scanners?

Yes. Paper still works, scanning is better and RFID is better again — Weavwork reads whatever you have, and nothing breaks at the lower rung.
